Bloomberg Media Initiative organizes training in Africa

Professionals with an interest in financial journalism can apply for this free program.

The Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa Executive Training Program is a comprehensive integrated curriculum around economics, business, journalism and public policy, designed by a consortium of faculty from six leading African universities.

The program aims to increase the pipeline of skilled financial journalists and analysts, embracing a data-driven journalism culture across Africa.

The training is delivered through short study blocks totaling 18 days over a period of six months in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria.

Bloomberg, with support from the Ford Foundation, covers tuition, class materials, lunch and refreshments for each participant.

The deadline to apply is May 29.
