Journalists ages 25 to 40 from the Asia Pacific region and the United States can apply for a place on this study tour.
The East-West Center organizes the New Generation Seminar, a two-week intensive educational, dialogue and study travel program. This year’s theme is “Cultural Heritage and Identity in a Globalizing, Urbanizing World.”
The program gives participants the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of Asia Pacific-U.S. developments and challenges, build a regional network and to become leaders with a more international perspective.
The first week of the program is held in Hawaii. The second week involves field travel to either the United States or Asia Pacific. This year’s program will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and Yangon, Myanmar from Sept. 18 to Oct. 1.
The deadline for applications is June 16.
