Emerging photographers with a passion for marine subjects can apply for a grant.

The Save Our Seas Foundation (SOSF) is accepting applications for its Marine Conservation Photography Grants.

Two winners will each receive a US$2,000 cash prize in addition to a paid three-week photographic assignment under the guidance of National Geographic photographer Thomas Peschak to document an SOSF-supported marine research or conservation project.

Photographers with underwater photography skills in their repertoire are especially encouraged to apply.

The deadline is Jan. 31.
