Web, print and broadcast journalists can apply for a cash prize.
Brazil’s Ministry of Labor (MPT, in Portuguese) launched the Prêmio MPT de Jornalismo, a contest for the best journalistic works related to labor law and labor law violations.
Possible topics include: combating fraud in labor relations, slave labor, child labor, discrimination, labor irregularities in public administration, environmental protection and labor, and freedom to unionize, among others.
Works must have been broadcast or published between May 2, 2015 and May 6, 2016. The competition is divided into eight categories and two special prizes, totaling BRL400,000.
The deadline to apply is May 6.
